Our Programme

We are an impartial, multi-exit programme meaning we support students to apply to any higher education institution. LEAPS-eligible pupils have gone on to study at universities and colleges all over Scotland and beyond.

The LEAPS programme of activities and support includes:

  • workshops and presentations about different aspects of higher education
  • individualised information, advice, and guidance for students considering higher education study
  • the LEAPS Transitions Course, an S6 timetable option focusing on developing first-year university-level academics skills which LEAPS-eligible students can choose to apply to (please note places are limited)

Students will be invited by their school to attend LEAPS activities, or asked to sign-up or apply for opportunities individually where needed.

Confirming LEAPS Eligibility

The formal registration process for LEAPS takes place when students are in S6 (or S5 if a student is leaving school at the end of S5). The deadline for confirming LEAPS eligibility falls around the end of November each year. The date is communicated to schools in advance. Find out more about the process and deadline for confirming LEAPS eligibility here.
